Newman’s Own Organics Review and Giveaway

Newman’s Own Organics was established as a division of Newman’s Own in 1993, and became a separate company in late 2001. Paul Newman has given over $200 million to thousands of charities worldwide since 1982.

When Nell Newman and business partner Peter Meehan started Newman’s Own® Organics: The Second Generation® in 1993, they were sure there was a market for organic snack foods, but they couldn’t have anticipated just how fast the demand for their products would grow. What started with pretzels and grew to include other snack foods has now expanded to many other organic items: coffee, tea, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, organic dried fruit, and pet food. The partners anticipate adding a number of new items each year in all these areas.

I got a huge box of products to try in exchange for our honest opinions

Our Review

To say I was amazed when I opened the box from Newman’s Own would be an understatement! We got so much awesome stuff to try. Pretzels, dried apples, chocolate cups..peanut butter and mint, ginger and hot mints, several types of cookies, licorice and even some chocolate bars! I was barely able to get a few pictures before my kids and my husband started digging through the box and calling dibs on everything! I’ve never been very big on organic foods, but I have read so many rave reviews on Newman’s Own that I had to try it and see if I could recommend it to you guys, my readers. There’s some great Recipes on the site that you can make with their products too. There’s plenty of information on Organics and their products and how Newman’s Own Organics came to be.

Now to the nitty gritty. The FOOD! Wow is the first word that comes to mind. I have tried almost everything in the box and I have yet to find one thing that I didn’t like. Wait, I take that back lol. The one thing that tasted a little funny to me was the ginger mints, BUT, I don’t particularly like the taste of ginger. So for someone who likes ginger, you may like them a lot. My favorite snack in the whole lot was the licorice. I’m a Twizzler addict so I wanted to try these to compare. I got strawberry, sour strawberry and sour mango. Shockingly enough, I would go buy the strawberry and sour mango over Twizzlers! And I don’t love sour stuff LOL.

My boys went gaga over the cookies, and they are picky let me tell you! My husband grabbed the hot mints, loves them. The pretzels are good too, not too salty and not too bland. This was overall just a really great selection of snacks to try. Everyone found something they like or love. I have a feeling there is going to be a lot more Newman’s Own in this house in the future 🙂
