Embracing the Wolf Guest Post

Embracing the Wolf by Stephanie Nelson
For the first time, Anna Avery was looking forward to the future. She’s mated to her soul mate. The pack has become her new family, and she has friends she can confide in. She had every reason to look ahead, until a vision put her future happiness in jeopardy. Someone is set on destroying her mate, Adam, and only Anna can prevent this possible future. While trying to unravel the hazy web of her premonition, she finds out the annual pack conference will take place on her mountain. And Adam’s parents will be attending. As only a “made” wolf, Anna will have to face their prejudice and possibly make the hardest decision she has ever had to make. Because saving Adam’s life might just mean walking away from him for forever.

Getting to know Anna Avery

For those who have not read my Anna Avery series, I thought I would write a little bit about her. Anna is a twenty-three year old woman from Buffalo, Wyoming. She lost her parents to an airplane crash. Before she became a werewolf, Anna worked as a teller at a bank and came home every night to her dog, Jitters. She had a string of relationships, none lasting more than a few weeks at a time. Though she doesn’t have any particular reason, Anna has never seen herself in a serious relationship. None of the men she had met fit what she was looking for. The thing is, Anna didn’t even know what she was looking for. Anna is strong headed, skillful and sarcastic, but she will also go out of her way to help those in need.

On a day just like any other, Anna heads up to the mountain for a jog. However, unlike her normal jogs, this one didn’t go the way she hoped. Anna was attacked by a wolf and left for dead only to learn that the wolf that bit her wasn’t a normal. Her whole world changes upon learning a werewolf infected her and she too has become one. She is forced to move in with the Everwood pack living in the Big Horn Mountains and learn about a world she never knew existed. As the only white wolf in her pack, rumors spread that it could mean great things for the newbie wolf.

In book one, Taming the Wolf, a string of murders occur and Anna is the number one suspect. Upon dealing with trying to prove her innocence, Anna must also contend with her attraction to her mated alpha, Adam Everwood. It’s not easy ignoring Adam’s masterful seductions and only time will tell if she will give in to what she desires.

About Stephanie Stephanie resides in the Midwest with her husband and furry children. When she’s not cooking up Gwen and Anna’s next adventures, she enjoys reading, traveling and watching movies.
