Aurora Sky Vampire Hunter Review

If there is one thing eighteen-year-old Aurora Sky wants, it’s to get off the iceberg she calls home. Being kissed before she graduates wouldn’t hurt either. Then a near-fatal car wreck changes everything. government agents step in and save Aurora’s life in exchange for her services as a vampire hunter. In Alaska. Basically she’s a glorified chew toy. All thanks to her rare blood type, which sends a vampire into temporary paralysis before she has to finish the job…by hand. Now Aurora’s only friends are groupies of the undead and the only boy she can think about may very well be a vampire. And if he’s a vampire, will she be forced to kill him?

My Review

I’ve always been into books that are about Vampires and hunters and the interaction between them and the real world. This one did not disappoint. This novel was different. Instead of relying on stakes, crosses and garlic, Aurora’s weapon is the very blood in her veins. I really liked Aurora, she’s a very no nonsense, strong girl who takes what’s dished out to her and runs with it. There’s a really great mix of action, a little gore, and a little teenage love angst going on. There’s not too much of any one thing so this appeals to a wide range of readers, even those like me who gag when it comes to the romance lol. I really enjoyed reading this book and got through it really quickly. I can’t wait for the next book in the series to come out!
